Breakfast of Champions
Let’s say you’re going for a run. You know you need some energy to burn off, so what should you eat? How about a pack of Twinkies, a cheese Danish, some buttery biscuits drenched in sausage gravy and a nice eggnog chaser? You’ll be lucky if you can lace up your tennies after consuming that. What if you skipped eating altogether? You won’t feel as bloated, but you won’t get very far.
As Christians, we have to eat right. God’s Word is the breakfast of champions. It makes a difference in your day if you take time to devour the feast of wisdom He has made available in the Bible. You can be renewed and transformed by the power of the Word (Romans 12:1-2).
